Alistair Hatch
Third generation. His grandfather cut hair in Leith from 1948; his father in the New Town. Alistair opened Stockbridge in 2016 with one chair, one razor and an hour per appointment, which everyone told him would not work.

Built like a library, run like a kitchen
Callum Wren trained as a joiner before he ever picked up scissors. Both rooms are his: oak, brass, leather, and nothing that needs explaining. Everything you can touch was made to last the next thirty years.
